This is only a fraction of what we saw, but hey, we were kept very busy and it wasn't about sightseeing.๐
When we arrived, to our surprise we were issued this card and told to keep it with us at all times. It will allow us access to places (like hospitals) to visit and help people.
One of the training buildings. As we walked through the halls there were pictures of the Savior everywhere with examples of how He taught people and an invitation to love Him and learn to teach as He did, and would if He were here.
Over 72,000 missionaries are serving all over the world. Some ride bikes. ๐ช This number includes 5,300 Senior Missionaries (like us!)
There is huge training building. On each of the six floors there were huge, backlit murals with a scripture and question to ponder. They are spectacular and I wish I could post pictures of all of them, but it wouldn't begin to do them justice. This is one of them depicting Ammon and the Sons of Mosian heading into preach Christ in Zarahemla. (NOTE: This building was just being finished when Ammon was at the MTC. He was able to walk through it and asked us to take a picture of this mural)
This is in that same building and you can see the Provo Temple in the background. That Temple is now being demolished and rebuilt and will be called the Rock Canyon Provo Temple when it is dedicated in years to come.
The Church has produced Bible Videos, lots of them. This is the boat that was used to film scenes with Christ and the Apostles.
The infamous laundry. Two long rows of washers and dryers. This is just one row.
Sorry for this sappy picture, but we had just been dismissed from our training and freed to head to our mission. We couldn't help ourselves. The tears just came.
And taking off the MTC badge meant no more access to the MTC.
